to others except as disclosed in this statement.

Registration
In order to
use the Site, a potential member must complete a registration form and agree
to the terms contained in the Membership
Agreement. The registration form requires the member to give personal
information: first name, last name, title, address, phone, email.
The form also requests optional personal information: cell phone, fax, secondary email. The new member
then selects a login name and password for use on the site. Finally, company information is required:
company name, address, phone and the name of a primary contact. Personal and company information is
used to contact the member about transactions and services on the Site in which the member
has interest and for invoicing transaction fees incurred on the Site.
The information about the member's company affiliation is also used to correctly assign rights
to various Site features such as trading various types of metals,
ordering services, and negotiating purchases.
Site Activities
The Company
also requests information from prospective members during registration that
may be used to verify that the member is authorized to engage in activities
on the Site. For the protection of the parties involved in a transaction, the
Company keeps an audit trail of communications during negotiations. Both parties
will have access to this record, but no other parties will have access to the
record. Transactions on the site are binding, like trades in other controlled
forums, such as commodities trading pits or the floor of a stock exchange. Company
and contact information will be made available to both parties involved in a
transaction to facilitate settlement.
Cookies
A cookie is
a piece of data stored on the member's hard drive containing information
about the member. This information is used to identify the member as one who has agreed
to the Authorization to Trade. No information that would be personally identifiable outside of our site
is written to the cookie. Users who have disabled cookies will not be allowed into
some of the private areas of the site, such as the Buy and Sell areas.
Log Files
We use IP
addresses to administer the Site and track usage. IP addresses may be linked
to personally identifiable information as required to back up audit trials and
security features of the Site.
Links
The Site may contain
links to other web sites. Please be aware that the Site is not responsible for
the privacy practices or the content of such other web sites. This privacy statement
applies solely to information collected by the Site.
Security
The Site takes
every commercially reasonable precaution to protect member information. When
members submit sensitive information via the Site, the information is protected
both online and offline. Information is encrypted and is protected with the
best encryption software in the industry -- SSL. While on a secure page the
lock icon on the bottom of web browsers
becomes locked, as
opposed to un‑locked, or open. To learn more about SSL,
follow
this link.
While the Site uses SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, the Site also takes every commercially reasonable precaution to protect member information offline. All member information is restricted in the Company's offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g., a billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The Company's employees must use password‑protected screen‑savers when they leave their desk. Furthermore, Company employees must sign confidentiality agreements and are kept up‑to‑date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance the Company places on privacy and what they can do to ensure protection of member information. Finally, the servers upon which the Company stores personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment. If you have any questions about the security at the Site, you can send an e-mail to security@metalorigins.com.
Special Offers
The Site sends
all new members a welcoming e-mail to verify password and member name. Members
will occasionally receive information on products, services, or special opportunities. Information
may be sent via phone, fax or e-mail. Members can "opt out" of these special offer messages by emailing
alec_miller@metalorigins.com.
Site and Service Updates
The Company also sends
members periodic service and Site announcement updates. The Company communicates
with members to provide requested services and in connection with issues relating
to members accounts via e-mail or phone. Members cannot "opt out" of these messages, which are
necessary to Site functionality.
Notification of Changes
Changes to this privacy
policy will be posted on the Site so that members are always aware of what information
is collected, how it is used and under what circumstances, if any, the information
may be disclosed. If, at any point, the Site uses personally identifiable information
in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, members
will be notified by e-mail.
The Company will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under
which the information was collected.
